There is no more time left

Oil pastel, pencil, thread.
2025

This series began from a moment of urgency, when I became aware that time was running out, that I had less and less of it available. This led me to question the value of an artwork in relation to the time dedicated to it. Does a painting made in 15 minutes hold less value than one made over 15 hours?

In response, I started to measure the time spent on each drawing, inscribing its duration as a form of signature. Time itself became both process and mark.

Later, I stitched all the sheets of paper together, allowing these individual durations to merge into a single body.

Each piece is titled by the time it took to create it, and together they accumulate a total duration of 7 hours, 12 minutes, and 26 seconds.
